The Many Deaths of Buzz the Caveman (no. 1)

Buzz invents agriculture and removes himself from the gene pool in the process. He does a lot of that sort of thing. He also dies a lot by being nice.

He’s partly a reaction to a psychology paper I read which claimed that evolution has shaped our brains to be more inclined to negative than positive emotions – fear or anger are more likely to save your life in a sticky situation than, eg, contentment (my feelings about evolutionary psychology are mixed and violent) – and partly me laughing at myself and my tendencies to wander around completely absorbed in Deep Thoughts and walk in front of traffic, under plummeting grand pianos, etc.
