Tempin’ Bear: The Hunter (2 of 2)

[About 1pm: Apologies if you were here earlier and saw a weird disjointed blogpost. An earlier draft of it got posted by accident and I only spotted it now.]

New comic! Wow, that feels good. It’s been gnawing at me ever since the last one. In the meantime I’ve moved to London with Dan and started a Masters. Contained in that short sentence are nine months of upheaval and crisis and uncertainty, and massive quantities of hard work and worry. But we’re here and things are starting to make sense again. Which means more comics.

Like my new print collection! You might already have noticed it in the sidebar, but have a look at the cover properly at the Shop. It’s 40 pages, about two-thirds of which are IN COLOUR. This is a brilliant thing.

One of the reasons this is going ahead is being back at college. I’d checked prices and thought I’d either have to settle for a black-and-white version or not be able to print the last year’s strips at all. But the university print shop is really cheap, it turns out.

The other reason is IndieGoGo, the crowdfunding site, and all the fantastic people who gave me funding through it. I got the cost of the print run and then some. I am still astonished by this. Thank you all so very much.

I’ve been sorting out printing logistics since then – I ended up having to do lots of collating by hand to keep costs down – but all the funders should have their copies in the post within the next couple of days. I hope they all get to you by Christmas. Everyone else, if you’d like a copy (with four pages only ever to be seen in print!) you can order a copy from the Shop now.

Is anyone still reading? How’ve you been? It’s great to be back.
